EMI Current Probes/Monitors

EMI Current Probes/Monitors are broadband RF devices, used to monitor current on data and power lines. While The EMC Shop stocks and uses them for EMC applications, many engineers will use them during product design and for other general testing purposes.

Typically used in tantum with bulk current injection (BCI) probes. A broadband EMI current probe is used downstream to evaluate and monitor changes in characteristics once a low level RF/high frequency current was injected into the line or cable bundle. Typical applications include Mil-STD-461 CS101, CS102, RTCA-DO-160 and EN/IEC 61000-4-6.
