Anechoic chamber is usually a modular shielded room (or occasionally a welded room) that is lined inside with RF and/or microwave absorbing ("Anechoic") material.

Depending on the purpose of the room, anechoic material may be placed on the walls and ceiling (usually referred to as "Semi-Anechoic") or it can be placed on all six sides of the room (As known as "Fully Anechoic").
