    Automotive electrical disturbances occur regularly in the vehicle primarily due to switching on and off of various vehicle components from the starter motor to electrical and electronic systems.

     

    There are both emissions and immunity tests required by the standards, of which there are many. The main standards like ISO 7637-2 and ISO 16750-2 define both how these pulses must be simulated and how they are measured and with what limits. The vehicle manufacturers who are ultimately responsible often take these requirements and expand or modify them.

    Teseq Automotive Transient Generators and EMC Test EquipmentFor immunity testing you need a transient generator (NSG 5500), some kind of coupling network, a battery simulator (PA 5840 or PA 5740) and a function generator (now integrated with NSG 5500).

    For emissions testing the AES 5501 includes just about everything you need, switches, artificial network, even the oscilloscope probe.

    Many OEM requirements include ESD testing similar to ISO 10605, for which an NSG 438 is highly recommended.

  • Teseq RF Immunity Generators

    Teseq RF immunity generators are integrated multipurpose systems for Radiated Immunity and conducted RF immunity testing using clamp and coupling injection methods or swapping and using antennas for RF field generation.

  • Teseq ESD Guns

     

    Electrostatic discharge immunity (ESD) tests are used to verify complete systems and duplicate disturbances in installations. These tests contribute to identify immunity failures caused by bad cabling or system composition, as well as grounding problems. Teseq ESD guns fulfill the requirements of most major ESD standards. Thanks to stabilized HV output all Teseq ESD guns exceed this need by far and guarantee optimized reproducibility of tests. The basic models are type-approved and calibrated to IEC/EN 61000-4-2. A comprehensive range of additional network modules are available for testing to various standards including ISO 10605

Available models can reach levels up to 6.6 kV for Combination Wave and 7.7 kV for Telecom Surge. Coupling / Decoupling Networks (CDN’s) are available for single and three phase testing up to 100 Amps. Data line couplers are available for up to 4 pairs of unshielded, symmetrical telecom lines.

  • Teseq Harmonics & Flicker Solutions

    The Teseq Harmonics and Flicker measurement test systems comply to the latest IEC/EN standards, including IEC 61000-3-2 and IEC 61000-3-3. The programmable power generation capability of up to 45 kVA (90 kVA and 145 kVA sources comprise multiple 45 kVA units) provides more than ample power to cater for a wide range of Equipment Under Test (EUT).
