Conducted Emissions

Evaluate your DUTs line outputs (power and data) for compliance per FCC, UL, MIL-461, DO-160 and any other test standards. A conducted emissions test setup is done with a few pieces of equipment and can be accomplished quickly by novice engineers. Having an appropriate and properly grounded test setup ensures consistent and reliable measurements when evaluating your products conducted emissions. The EMC Shop is an ISO 17025 accredited company, stocking all the equipment to test conducted emissions.

  • Analyzers, Receivers and Scopes

Most any signal or spectral analysis unit can be used to evaluate the quality of your electrical components and DUT's. Quasi peak detection and EMI filters are offered as options by many manufacturers. EMI Receviers and EMC analyzers have the required hardware and software to help identiry problem areas in both conducted and radiated applications, saving time on pre-certifciation and saving money but better identifing issues that may cause failure at the certification lab.

  • Impedance Stabilization Networks (Power and Data Lines)

Impedance Stabilization Networks  also known as Artificial Mains Networks are the most common transducer to perform conducted emission testing. For testing electrical power lines a Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN) is required. To test data lines an Impedance StabilizatioN Network (ISN) is used.

  • Transient Limiters

Used between the LISN and measuring device such as an EMI receiver or a spectrum analyzer to protect the unit from high voltage spikes. Most transient limiters are spec'd to meet commerical and military conducted emissions standards (9 kHz to 30 MHz)

  • Preamplifiers

Used inbetween close field probes and the measuring device (Spectrum analyzer or EMI receiver) to maximize performance of the probes and help identify problem areas while taking real time measurements.

  • Probes and Clamps

Close field probes, current probes, voltabe probes and abosrbing clamps are scondary components required in some commercial and military & aerospace conducted emissions standards. The EMC Shop is an ISO 17025 accredited company with inventory of many electromagnetic probes and clamps for conducted emissions testing.
