APELC E1 5-kA Short Pulse

The E1 5-kA system is used used to satisfy the MIL STD 188-125 requirement for E1 short-pulse direct current injection up to 5 kA. The E1 5-kA system may be used with an MOV coupler or a direct injection output coupler. The E1 5-kA system is operated using high-voltage power and control rack and includes a calibration fixture which uses a current transformer with NIST traceable components.

The Military Standard (MIL-STD) 188-125 establishes minimum requirements and design objectives for high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) hardening of fixed1 ground-based facilities that perform critical, time-urgent command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) missions.
