RF Conducted Immunity Test System

RF conducted testing is an efficient manner to test immunity along power and data lines up to 1 GHz. Common bandwidths range from 10kHz to 400 MHz, where the ~80 MHz range and higher acts as a good alternative to radiated immunity testing requiring high power RF amplifiers.

Injecting low level RF signals and high frequency current into wires and cable bundles are a common requirement in ISO 11452-4, Mil-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160 and EN/IEC 61000-4-6. Bulk current injection probes are available in two styles, a window style for passing wires and cables through and a clamping style BCI probe for hard to access cable bundles or more intricate systems.

  • EM Coupling Clamps

The integrity of both communication and electrical lines within products of all shapes and sizes is important to address early in design stages. EM coupling clamps are used to monitor electrical and magnetic characteristics radiated from electrical/communication wires. Additional, you can generate electrical and magnetic fields using a clamp to inject distrubances onto the lines and evaluate their response. EM clamps are used to meet CISPR, IEC and other compliance standards to evaluate radio frequency disturbances on and around power or data lines.
