The Amplifier Research (AR) FL7218 Laser Powered E-Field Probe 3 MHz - 18 GHz,
is a fast reading and very accurate electric field probe that contains an internal microprocessor to provide linearization. Noise reduction and temperature compensation allow accurate measurements down to 2 V/m without needing a zero adjustment to compensate.
Since this probe is microprocessor based, the linearization technology provides a 54 dB dynamic range. When rotated on its ergonomic angle mount, the probe provides an isotropic response of +1.5 dB to 18 GHz. Communications for this probe utilizes glass fiber-optic cables that can span up to 328 ft or 100 meters long, coupling to the FI7000 interface. X, Y, Z, and isotropic readings can be returned through an AR FI7000 within 20 milliseconds,
This is one of the faster and lower latency signal return probes on the market. This Versital laser powered Probe allows for continuous operation without recharging or battery replacements paired with its smaller form factor gives it the ability to fit in smaller testing enclosures and limited environments.
Note: FM7004A is recommended for local monitoring and control. VM7000 virtual monitor software is optional.
